City Supporter Finishes 113th In London Marathon

Coventry City supporter James Bowler finished a superb 113th in the London Marathon today.

James, who supports City from Kent, at the halfway stage was running an average 3.31 minutes per kilometre at a speed of 17kms.

In the second half of the race, that dropped slightly but he was still able to finish in a time of 2.32.52 which gave him a 113th place finish in a race won by Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya in 2.03.05.

Jemima Sumgong of Kenya won the woman's race in 2.22,58 with Marcel Hug winning the wheel-chair race.

Speaking about the race, James said: "Man that was tough, very relieved to finish in 2:32 -cramping from 19 miles. The words "never again" did come through my mind around 20 miles and "stick to 5 and 10ks' still very pleased and relieved! now for some beer!"

Michael Louth finished in 4.03.22

Jo Chamberlain finished in 4.03.36.

David Singleton finished in 4.45.11

Karen Weston finished in 4.58.04

Paul McKay who was pacing runners finished in 5.15.38.
