City Stay Thirteenth

Coventry City remain in thirteenth place after tonights matches in the Championship.

Leaders Wolves won 1-0 at Crystal Palace whilst Reading moved up to second coming back to win 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday. Jay Tabb started for the Royals but was replaced at half-time.

Cardiff are up to fourth with a 3-1 home win against Michael Mifsud's Barnsley with fifth placed Preston lost 2-1 at Nottingham Forest.

At the bottom, Norwich City won 1-0 at QPR for their third away win of the season and Southampton won 3-0 at Ipswich Town with bottom side Charlton Athletic losing to ever improving Doncaster Rovers 2-1. It's as you were for the bottom three.

Blackpool are fourth bottom after a 1-0 home defeat by Burnley. Former Sky Blue Claus Jorgensen was booked in the game.

Elsewhere, Derby drew 2-2 with Swansea at Pride Park and Plymouth beat Watford 2-1.

City's FA Cup opponents Chelsea won 1-0 at Portsmouth tonight. Drogba hit the winner in the 79th minute.

League One leaders Leicester City drew 1-1 with Stockport but are still twelve points clear from second placed Peterborough. The MK Dons game at Northampton was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch with the score at 0-0. Millwall, left out Richard Duffy and won 1-0 at Southend to move up to fifth.

Locally, Rugby Town's game at Gloucester was postponed but in the Midland Division of the Southern League, Leamington did play and won 4-0 at Dunstable Town. Bellingham, Murphy,Corbett and Lenton got the goals.

Nuneaton's game at Chasetown was called off as was Stratford Town's Midland Alliance game at Causeway United and Coventry Copsewood's game against Cadbury Athletic
