Coventry City remain in 18th place in the Championship table after a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday last night.

The Sky Blues now have 49 points from 41 matches are are two points ahead of Leicester City and onto the same points as Norwich City who have a better goal difference.

The draw lifted Sheffield Wednesday out of the relegation zone. The late goal from Richard Wood was enough to move The Owls above Southampton and Barnsley into 20th place. Wednesday and Barnsley both have a game in hand.

In the other Championship game of the night, it was the battle of the FA Cup Semi-Finalists. Not surprisingly with the semi-finals this weekend, Cardiff City drew 0-0 with West Brom at Ninian Park.

Locally, the cross down derby in the Midland Combination Premier Division saw a 3-0 win for Massey Ferguson at Coventry Copsewood. Palmer opened the scoring for the Tractor Makers after twenty minutes and Franklin netted in the 50th and 60th minute to leap frog Masseys over Copsewood in the table headed by Highgate United.
