Marlon King has finally signed a one year deal with Coventry City and many Sky Blues players are eager for the controversial striker to show what he is capable of on the field of play.

Sammy Clingan is the latest of an increasingly long line of Coventry City players to praise King and he said, "Kingy is coming in and the players are excited about him joining us because when I saw him in training for the first time I thought, 'oh my God, what a player!'

"He's got everything. As a striker he can shoot, he can finish, he's got power, he can hold the ball up and he's got pace to get in behind. The manager knows him well and knows what he's all about, so all is looking good for us and it is great to have him."

City's leading goal scorer, big defender Ben Turner also praised King and welcomed his addition to the team, saying, "Hopefully he can take us to that next level because all throughout his career he has banged in the goals and I haven't seen anything in training that would suggest that he is not going to do that for us."

Turner added, "He seems a really good guy who is getting on well with all the lads and training really well. He is razor sharp and I think he will be hungry."

"He knows exactly what to expect from the gaffer and I am sure he will slot in really nicely and hopefully give us another lift. He has played in the Premiership and, as we have seen with Lee Carsley, that can really help."
