Ex-Sky Blue Manager and player Roland Nilsson has been appointed as the new coach of Malmö FF. He is currently coaching Gais where he against all odds has managed to keep them in "Allsvenskan" (the top division in Sweden).

He will start working for Malmö, European Cup runners up in 1979, after the end of the current season. Malmö FF has been a big disappointment this season. Roland was also for a period linked to the struggling Danish top team Bröndby.

Former City long serving player and successful U18's manager Brian Borrows is scouting for Rangers and has been offered a job at Derby County. His contact with City which lasted over twenty years ended when he lost his job at the end of last season in an Academy reshuffle.
