City Must Now Beat West Brom To Have A Hope Of Qualifying

Coventry City must beat West Bromwich Albion U21's to have any hope of qualfiying for the second round of the EFL Trophy.

City, the competition holders, are now third in the group with two points, one from the 2-2 draw at Walsall and one from the 4-3 win on penalties.

Shrewsbury Town, who beat City 3-2 back in August and West Brom 3-0 on Tuesday night at the Greenhaus Meadow, top the table with six points.

Second placed Walsall have four points, made up of their 3-1 win at home to West Bromwich Albion and the point from the 2-2 home draw against the Sky Blues.

City must beat bottom side West Brom, on Tuesday November 7th at the Ricoh Arena, who have had two defeats and six goals put past them, and hope that Shrewsbury beat Walsall in the final game in order to progress to the second round.
