Yet another player has gone elsewhere with the news that Teddy Sheringham has signed for West Ham United.

Meanwhile, Onandi Lowe has been charged with attempting to possess crack cocaine with intent to supply. The Jamaican who scored against Crewe at Easter was sacked by the Sky Blues at the end of last season and was charged by Northamptonshire Police after answering police bail.

Lowe was first arrested in April along with a 23-year-old London woman in Rushden, Northamptonshire, on suspicion of possession of crack with intent to supply. Both will appear before Wellingborough Magistrates' Court on 3 August.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said: "A man and woman who were arrested by officers from Northamptonshire Police on 14 April have this afternoon been charged with drugs offences. "A 30-year-old man from Rushden, who was arrested in the Wellingborough area, on 14 April, and then bailed by police has this afternoon answered his police bail at Wellingborough Police Station and been charged with attempting to possess crack cocaine with intent to supply. He has been bailed to appear before Wellingborough Magistrates on 3 August.

"A 23-year-old woman from London who was arrested in Rushden on 14 April has also answered her police bail at Wellingborough police station this afternoon and been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. She has also been bailed to appear before Wellingborough Magistrates on 3 August."
