City Ladies In Partnership To Offer Foundation Course

Coventry City Ladies Football Club are delighted to announce details of a new Partnership deal with Birmingham Metropolitan College to provide a Female Football Foundation Course for females aged 16-19.

BMET is one of the leading Colleges in terms of sporting performance and named as College of the Year by British Colleges Sport (BCS) and the Association of Colleges (AoC) for their achievements in 2012-13.

The Course offers:

Education

* Completion of Level 3 Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence) over 3 years. 

Football

* Play in the England Colleges FA Elite programme [Wednesday afternoons]

* Train at least 3-4 times weekly, including pitch time, gym sessions. sports science

support, match analysis sessions and physiotherapy access 

* Completion of FA Level 1 and progression onto Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football

* Completion of Level 2 Leadership Through Football Qualification

* Work Experience with local primary and secondary  schools as a football coach

* Participation in England Colleges National Team trials

Progression

* Completion of UCAS Application for Universities including College Foundation Degree programmes (Level 3 will enable players to move onto higher education at University in England or USA) 

* Job application support
