Coventry City picked up a very valuable point with a 1-1 draw against Barnet.

Paul Cudby was forced to change his side due to injuries with Emma Hollingsworth, Emily Simpkins and Callen Barber out from last week's starting line-up as well as McKenna, Gauntlett and Durrant. They welcomed back Danni Saulter to the squad and have called up Saffi Elleston, Nikki Miles and Georgia Jones against a Barnet side which without the suspended Alex Keown.

Barnet were straight on the attack forcing two corners. The second of which came in the second minute and saw Vicky Boardman headed on and Sue Wood spilled into the net.

The Londoners forced more corners whilst City relied on the counter-attack and in the 32nd minute, they won a corner which Jade Formaston sent into the mix. Courtney Sweetman-Kirk was held back and Mr Jarrett pointed to the spot.

Helen Dermody stepped up and cooly beat Rowlands to draw City level.

With Jade Formaston in fine form, City had the better of the play in the second half.

Chances were at a premium despite Formaston getting in a great cross on the hour mark, Sowden and substitute Inniss firing at Wood and Sweetman-Kirk just missing as both sides worked hard to earn a draw.

The game was Barnet's last WPL game of the season and they end with 26 points from eighteen matches, which is currently good enough for third place. The Sky Blues, who have an away game at Nottingham Forest and a home match at Aston Villa to play are fifth on 25 points.
