Coventry City Head Groundsman John Ledwidge has been short-listed for the final of the IOG Campey/Imants Professional Football Groundsman of The Year Award.
John, who works hard to keep the Ricoh Arena surface in good condition in all weathers, is one of the finalists along with Roy Rigby at Manchester City, Steve Winterburn at Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa's Jonathan Calderwood and Andy Jackson of Stoke City, who are up for the award which will be presented at the Institute Of Groundsman Awards on December 6th at York Racecourse.
All those who entered had to produce evidence on a list of groundsman criteria, were invited in for round table discussions as well as having their site visited,
