City Further Adrift

Coventry City are further adrift at the foot of the Championship table after losing 1-0 at Derby County this afternoon.

City's 1-0 defeat means they are four points behind Doncaster Rovers who held third placed Cardiff City to a 0-0 draw.

Doncaster's point means they are only a point behnd Nottingham Forest who lost 3-0 at home to Southampton, who went top of the table, above West Ham who won 1-0 at Portsmouth.

Fourth from bottom Millwall had two players sent off in a 6-0 home defeat to Birmingham City for whom former Sky Blue Marlon King scored twice.

Fifth from bottom Bristol City lost 2-0 at Brighton whilst Ipswich who are a point better off were held by Blackpool to a 2-2 draw.

Lukas Jutkiewicz was a 57th minute substitute in Middlesbrough's 2-0 home defeat to Burnley, whilst fifth placed Reading won 2-1 at Watford and sixth placed Hull City beat Peterborough 1-0.

Elsewhere, Palace drew 1-1 with Leeds and Leicester lost 2-1 at home to Barnsley
