Coventry City have only moved up a place to fourteenth after their 1-0 victory against Doncaster Rovers.

The win means City are nine points clear of third from bottom side Nottingham Forest and fourteen points off a play-off place.

Wolves still lead the table following their 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest. They are five points clear of Birmingham City who were held 1-1 at home by Norwich City.

Third placed Reading left out Jay Tabb for their 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace whilst Burnley are up to fourth with a 2-1 win from their trek to Plymouth Argyle.

Charlton remain in deep trouble at the bottom of the table after a 0-0 draw against Preston. The Addicks have 29 points, some eleven behind Southampton who drew 1-1 at Blackpool.

QPR beat Bristol City 2-1 whilst the games at Derby, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday finished 0-0.

In League One, Matt Heath was sent off for Brighton in a 3-0 defeat to Scunthorpe.

In League Two Andy Morrell scored for Bury in a 1-1 draw against Chester City.

Locally, Rugby Town drew 0-0 with Swindon Supermarine whilst in the Southern League Midland Division, leaders Leamington thrashed Woodford United 7-1. Mark Bellingham hit a hat-trick in six minutes at the end of a game watched by a crowd of 615.

Nuneaton Town won 2-0 at Soham Town with goals from Stacey and former Sky Blue Robert Oddy whilst Atherstone beat Bedworth 1-0 thanks to a 52nd minute Barlone goal.

Midland Alliance scores saw Stratford Town won 2-1 at Shifnal and Racing Club Warwick earned a 1-1 draw at Studley. 

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood lost 2-1 at Loughborough Uni, Southam were held 2-2 at home by Bolehall whilst Nuneaton Griff and Massey Ferguson drew 2-2.
