City Four Points Adrift

Coventry City's 3-1 defeat at Bristol City means they are now four points adrift.

City are stuck third bottom with 39 points, some four behind Bristol City who picked up six points over the Easter weekend.

The Sky Blues are five points ahead of second from bottom Portsmouth who face Millwall tomorrow and seven ahead of Doncaster Rovers who were beaten 2-1 at home by Burnley.

Nottingham Forest moved further away from trouble with a 1-0 win at Peterborough.

At the top of the table, Southampton won 2-0 at Crystal Palace, whilst Marlon King scored for fourth placed Birmingham City in a 3-3 draw at third placed West Ham United.

Ian Holloway was threatened with arrest by a police officer during fifth placed Blackpool's 1-1 draw with Barnsley whilst sixth placed Cardiff drew 1-1 with Watford.

Middlesbrough's slump continued with a 2-1 defeat at Hull City. Leicester are three points off the play-offs with a 2-1 win at Ipswich.
