Michael Doyle has come in for praise from Coventry City manager Chris Coleman.

Doyle played well at wide left in a number of pre-season games and scored against Everton.

This promoted Chris Coleman to say to the CT: "I have to take my hat off to Michael who looked really good out there. It has not been easy for him because it was only the end of last season that I said he thought he needed a change and so did he. Nothing has happened yet but he has been tremendous this pre-season and he's been a really good pro.

"His attitude has been spot on and I thought it was his best performance against Everton, not just his goal but playing on the left side of a narrow midfield he did a tremendous job and he epitomised what the lads have been like this pre-season."
