Iain Dowie has been speaking after City's 4-1 victory over Barnsley.

The City boss said to the club website after the game: "It was a very, very pleasing display. "I thought it would be a difficult game and it was important that we treated this match with a huge amount of respect. "Barnsley have put a decent run together recently and we knew they had dangerous players in their team. This is not being critical of them but they just couldn't handle Dele and Michael.

"In Doyler and Hughesy you have then got people who can give them a lot of good service. I think the second goal was as good as any you'll see in terms of a football goal.

"I'm delighted with the manner of our goals, I was very unhappy with the goal we conceded but for the lads to have done what they have done in six games is outstanding. Again our attitude and commitment was first class."

"I thought Dele was almost unplayable today. There is no question that he's strongest man in the world. You cannot shift him. He's got a good touch and I was delighted with his first goal. He's been fantastic ever since I have been here."
