Coventry City and the rest of the League One and Two clubs have voted to decide the format for the EFL Trophy for the next two seasons.
The Sky Blues and everyone else had to vote on the following options:
1) 64-team format to include 16 invited teams
2) 48-team format on a straight knockout basis
3) 48-team format with a group stage followed by knockout rounds
4) Abandon the competition
Votes had to be in by 10am
Some clubs have already said which way they voted and Walsall were amongst those who went for option three.
