The defender who was expected to be in Guus Hiddink's squad to face the Sky Blues in the FA Cup Sixth Round was according to reports, arrested in Brompton Road, South Kensington at 2.15am on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
He was taken to an un-named police station and issued with a fixed penalty notice before being released at 5.30am this morning.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard told the media: "We can confirm a 28-year-old man was arrested at approximately 2.15am in Brompton Road on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
"He was taken to a central London police station where he was issued with a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly and released shortly after 5.30am."
Reports says the former Arsenal man had been in the Collection Night club.
