Charles-Cook: Best Save I Ever Made But It Feels Like A Defeat

Last updated : 08 February 2016 By CNS Staff

Coventry City goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook has said that his one handed, change of direction save against Port Vale was the best ever he had ever done but the late goal from Sam Kelly made it feel like a defeat.

Charles-Cook told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “It was instinctive really. Oggy always says just go for everything and try to get a hand on it. I was going in the other direction so I had to adjust and managed to get a hand to it and send it over the bar.

“As a goalkeeper you treasure those. Hands down, it was the best save I’ve ever made but it’s no consolation because the result feels like a defeat.”
