Campaign For A Headstone For England's First Ever Captain

Last updated : 11 June 2012 By Paul McKay

Coventry City home and away season ticket holder and former Twist N Shout fanzine Editor Paul McKay is behind a campaign to have a headstone for England's first captain Cuthbert Ottway.

Paul is heavily involved with England's supporter base and helped organise the recent ootball match between England Fans FC and Belgium Fans FC in memory of Ottaway at Bedfont Town with England  claiming The Cuthbert Ottaway Memorial Cup.

It is also planned to play a game between England Fans FC and Marlow FC (one of Ottaway's old clubs) at Riley Park, Marlow, at some point in the future.

Pledges have so far been received from the PFA, Ottaway's family and Marlow FC - and Brent Council are helping out, too
