Coventry City's on loan midfielder Oliver Norwood has said he is desperate to take all three points from his hometown team Burnley.

The Manchester United teenager has never played at Turf Moor, but he was a supporter of the Clarets as well as being season ticket holder in his childhood.

While he is wearing the sky blue of Coventry City, his former allegiance to Burnley will amount to nothing as he will give everything to help City survive the drop.

Norwood told the CT, “I’ve been waiting for this game to come round since I got here. It will be a great experience for me, being a local lad and living a stone’s throw from the stadium when I was growing up.

“I had a season ticket as a kid and used to go there with my dad, so it feels like going home. I’ve never played there so that will be nice but I’m just thinking about getting the three points for Coventry like every other player in the dressing room.

"I’ll meet my friends and family afterwards but I’ll have my mind on the job at 3pm.”
