As expected,Coventry City have confirmed the appointment of Frankie Bunn as City's first team coach. Bunn's playing career was noted for once scoring six goals in a game for Oldham Athletic against Scarborough in a league cup tie. The 44 year old also played for Luton and Hull.

A knee injury brought about his retirement and Bunn was employed at Wigan Athletic before moving to Manchester City in 1998 where he was Academy coach until he became reserve team manager when Steve Wigley was appointed as Stuart Pearce's assistant.
