Coventry City winger David Bell has said he is delighted with his first goal for the Sky Blues.

Bell has suffered mixed reactions from the Sky Blues support since his move from Norwich City but left everyone delighted with his goal against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

"I was absolutely delighted because as far as first goals go they don't come much better than that," said Bell to the club website.

"I caught it well and as soon as it left my foot I thought it had a chance of going in so I'm over the moon.

"All the lads were saying before the game that it was important to put our recent run right, get back to winning ways and wipe the slate clean.

"It was not our greatest performance and not the best we can play by a long way but I thought the lads at the back were superb, we all showed resilience and we're all delighted with the result."
