Be Patient With Us - McIndoe

Coventry City winger Michael Mcindoe has urged City supporters to be patient with the team.

Speaking to the Birmingham based Sunday Mercury, McIndoe said: "I just hope people can be patient with us because when they are they will see that the players respond to it even more and that's when the better football will be played. Even the top Premier League teams who have lost their first few games have gone through the same thing because there is a gelling process both on and off the pitch.

''But we have got a good bunch here, which I noticed very quickly. Morale is good and spirit is good and I think the manager has got a good set of players.

"We haven't got the biggest squad of players in the division by any stretch, and we have got a lot of young players as well, but we have got a good mix of youth and experience.

"We are middle of the table now and that's a reasonable start and we have to remain very clear in what our objectives are this year. There is a still a very long way to go."

"We looked at the Blackpool game and we were disappointed with that because we dropped below the standards we expect," he added. "But when you look at the team, we had five or six players out of the 11 who are still gelling together.

''And I have been in the game long enough to know that it takes 10-15 games, minimum, to play with different people.

"If you know what players are going to do on the ball then you have an added benefit, but I think we have started off reasonably well.
