Baker Can't Explain Home Form

Coventry City captain Carl Baker can explain why the Sky Blues are so poor at home.

City have lost eight matches at the Ricoh Arena this season and Baker said to the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter: “I don't know what it is or what reasons there are for it but it needs addressing now because we need to start winning our home games and climb the table.

“It's a bit of a monkey on our back at home at the minute. Going away from home we're feeling really confident and the results have been fantastic.

“Whether the lads are getting a bit nervous playing at the Ricoh I don't know. Perhaps they feel a bit intimidated when the fans start getting a bit frustrated.

“But we can't blame anyone but ourselves. On Saturday we were winning 1-0 for most of the game and the fans were right behind us.

“We're coming up against big strong League One teams, the style of play we've been forced to playing suited their game a lot better than ours.

“We'll just have to deal with it, keep working hard and hopefully turn it around because it's vital if we want to get promotion.”
