Coventry City's combative midfielder Carl Baker has spoken about their disappointment at losing to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, but thinks the Saturday trip to Leeds is just the tonic the team need.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, he said: "To be honest the Leeds game will be the best kind of game to have because it will be a big crowd, big atmosphere and a chance for us all to pull together. We were all obviously a bit down after the Nottingham Forest game but now we got to be able to stick together now more than ever."

Baker returned to the side as it went into a period of poor form and results and although he is delighted to be playing regular first team football again, his delight is twinged with disappointment with the results.

He said: "It's obviously great to be starting games because everybody wants to start but when it comes to games we're just like the fans. When we lose games it sticks with us and it affects us in the same way it does the fans. I only got a couple of hours sleep after the Forest game because I was thinking about what I needed to do in the next game to make things better so it doesn't matter if you're starting because if you're not winning then you're not enjoying it."

Baker revealed that the players and coaching staff had been working hard in a bid to recapture the form that saw them sitting comfortably in the top six after an unbeaten run and a long sequence of clean sheets.

He said: "We're still scoring goals to win games but we're not getting the cleans sheets like we were earlier in the season so going to Leeds now is a great game for us.It was a good fixture with them at home earlier in the season and because of the way that game went we feel like we've got a point to prove."
