Attendance Justfied The Price

The biggest gate ever to see to a game at the Arena justified the cheaper admission prices. The £15 for adults and £8 for concessions for an FA Cup tie against a Middlesbrough team whose own supporters admit are not particularly attractive to watch, resulted in a gate of 28,120.

Yet again, the only areas of the stadium with empty seats was the corporate Main Stand and it is hoped next season more seats in this stand will be turned back into areas for ordinary home supporters.

With two out of the three biggest attendances at the Arena so far resulting from £15 being charged for adult admission, it is hoped that the City board will take this into account when deciding season ticket and match day ticket prices for next season.
