Adams On Reading

Micky Adams thought the game against Reading was entertaining.

The City boss said: "It was certainly an entertaining game - far too entertaining for my liking.

"We'd obviously had Reading watched and before the game we made the players aware the team they were up against were probably the best counter-attacking team around in this division and we certainly saw that this afternoon.

"Both sides had plenty of chances and both goalkeepers had superb performances. "But even though Stephen Bywater's penalty save proved critical for us in terms of the result, I thought we should have had a penalty ourselves when Ibrahima Sonko's clearly pushed the ball out for a corner.

"I thought we started the second half dreadfully and ended up conceding a goal. "But to be fair to the crowd, they really got behind the team once we'd gone a goal behind and they were one of the major reasons we managed to get back into the game."
