City manager Micky Adams has said that he believes Isaac Osbourne will bounce back from his knee ligament injury.
Speaking to the club website,Adams said: "It is a massive injury, Isaac Osbourne has ruptures his lateral knee ligament in his right knee and will miss the rest of the season.
"I think everybody in the ground saw it, it was a tackle about 10 minutes before the end of the game. It was a crunching tackle and made me wince on the sidelines and he picked himself up and played on with it, which is unbelievable and tells you something about the character of the boy.
Adams On Ossie
"It is massive blow for both of us. He has been outstanding every time he has played in the last six or seven games, his contributionto the team cannot be underestimated. He has shown enthusiasm, desire and a fair bit of skill at times, so it is a massive blow for the football club but more importantly to himself. But he is young enough to recover with modern day surgery but unfortunately for us we won't see him again this season.
"He is obviously upset but he is a youngster, it's not as if he has picked it up towards the end of his career where it finishes you. He has got time on his side and the thing is with Isaac he recovers well from injuries and you tend to find with him that he comes back bigger and stronger and if that is the case then he will come back some player."
