337 Watch City At The Ricoh

Last Sunday, 337 Sky Blues fans gathered at the Ricoh Arena to watch their team play Bradford City. Unfortunately this wasn’t live on the pitch but live on two giant screens in the EON lounge but the fans created a great atmosphere and enjoyed the teams terrific performance in a hard earned 3-3 draw. As well as the screening of the match there was live music from some of the talented musicians who have put together the brilliant Sent From Coventry Too album, which is now available to download on iTunes, plus memorabilia auction and raffle.

The event was organised by the Sky Blue Trust and through ticket sales, raffle and auction over £500 was raised to be shared between the Teenage Cancer Trust, in memory of Ross Emslie, and Zoes Childrens Hospice. One of those attending, Ricky Hill, said “It was great to be watching our boys playing at the Ricoh once again, even if it was on the TV screens – lets hope its not too long before we can watch them out on that immaculate pitch”.

Jan Mokrzycki from the Sky Blue Trust commented “It was wonderful to see young and old come together to cheer on our team in Coventry and hopefully the negotiations will result in a resolution soon”. He went on to thank ACL for all their help in staging the event and allowing them to use the facilities free of charge.
