Sunderland's 20 year old midfielder Jordan Henderson, who spent part of the 2009 season on loan at Coventry City, has had a £20m price tag put on his head by his manager Steve Bruce.

Henderson impressed the Coventry supporters during his time at The Ricoh and many predicted a glittering future for the lad.

There has been intense speculation recently that the player is attracting attention from clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, so Steve Bruce has acted and valued the player at £20m.

Henderson joined Coventry initially on a one month loan in January 2009, but later extended it to the end of the season.

Speaking to Coventry and Warwick radio about his loan extension, Henderson said, "I'm extending my contract here until the end of the season so hopefully we can get that sorted soon. I'm over the moon playing first team football for Coventry City who are flying at the minute."

He played 15 games for the Sky Blues and scored one goal, against Norwich. He returned to Sunderland in April 2009 after he broke a metatarsal bone in his foot.

Steve Bruce's Sunderland need cash to improve their squad and a massive fee for a player like Jordan Henderson might well provide the answer.
