WHO ARE THEY?
Now firmly back on the footballing map, Leamington this season won the Midland Football Alliance and the League Cup. The Brakes spent many years as Locheed and then AP Leamington before folding in 1988 after slipping all the way down from what we now call the Conference to the Midland Combination.

A new committee kept fundraising and in 2000 a new club started life in the Midland Combination Division Two. Well backed by the town and its people,

The Brakes under City supporting manager Jason Cadden won Division Two and then were runner-s up the following season to gain entry in the Premier Division. In their third season promotion was achieved and Leamington took their place in the Midland Football Alliance.

They finished fifth in their first season but progressed to the FA Cup 1st Round proper only to face a strong Colchester United side who banged in nine goals without reply.

This season,Leamington cantered through the Alliance season to win the title and finish some seventeen points clear of second place Romulus. Last week Leamington added the League Cup to their list of successes.

What division Leamington will play in next season is being debated, (the Southern League looks favourite) and an announcement is expected on May 14th.
