WHO ARE THEY?
Burnley were a new club formed in 1881 from the defunct Burnley Rovers Rugby Club. In May 1882 at a meeting in the Bulls Head pub ,they dropped the rugby and the name Rovers and moved into Turf Moor,their home ever since.

Burnley entered the Football League in 1888,losing their first game 5-2 at Preston.. Twice The Clarets have won the top flight. They have also won Division 2 twice as well as Division 3 and 4. In 1920/21 they went a record thirty matches without defeat.

The club was close to extinction in the late 1980's but Burnley battled back and this is their third season in the Championship.
Burnley,winners of the 1914 FA Cup, have also won the Anglo Scottish Cup.
Their current manager is Steve Cotterill who was appointed in June 2004.

LAST MATCH
Coventry lost 1-0 at home to West Brom whilst Burnley lost 3-2 at Sunderland.

This is the 40th league and cup game between the two sides. City's record is nothing to write home about. They have won on ten occasions with ten draws. City have scored 43 and conceded 48.

Back in December, City won 1-0 at the Arena thanks to a 29th minute penalty scored by Colin Cameron. Last season,City were beaten 4-0 at Turf Moor. Stephen Hughes was sent off as goals from Gareth O'Connor and Wayne Thomas were added to by a late brace from Ade Akinbiyi.

TEAM NEWS
Ben Turner is suspended for the final game of the season. Colin Hawkins is only rated as 50/50 after being out with an Achillies injury. Robert Page,Leon McKenzie and Colin Cameron are out.

For Burnley, Chris McCann is doubtful with an ankle injury as is James O'Connor who has a head injury. Joey Gudjonsson may come in.

HOW TO GET THERE
By Coach
Adults £10, Senior Citizen/junior £8.50, Adult season ticket holder £7.50, Concession Season Ticket Holder/JSB/Disabled £5.
Coaches leave the Arena Car Park C at 08.30am.

Parking Restrictions: Most of the surrounding streets have parking restrictions on a matchday (Saturday and Tuesday), so it is advisable for away supporters to use the Fulledge Recreation Ground car park or the road spaces further up Ormerod Road near the Fire Station.

Directions by Road:
From the North and South: Exit M6 at Junction 29 and onto the M65. Exit the M65 at junction 10 and follow signs for 'Towneley Hall.' This road eventually goes past Turf Moor.

From the East: Exit M65 at junction 12 and follow signs to 'Burnley North A682,' over two roundabouts and into Colne Road. After 1.5 miles, turn left at the lights into Casterton Avenue. After another half mile, go straight on at another roundabout, follow signs for 'Rochdale A6114,' into Eastern Avenue. After 1.5 miles, you will be on Belvedere Road and the stadium is there.
From the West: Exit M65 motorway at junction 9 (Signposted Halifax A679) and turn right at the first roundabout, over the motorway. Go to thesecond roundabout and take a left, still following signs for Halifax and onto Accrington Road. After ¾ of a mile, go left at the traffic lights, into Rossendale Road. Follow for another 1.5 miles and then go straight on through the traffic lights into Glen View Road. After another mile, turn left into Todmorden Road, where you will find Turf Moor.

By Rail: The nearest station is Burnley Manchester Road. From here, exit the station and walk down Centenary Way, from here, Turf Moor is clearly visible. When you reach the roundabout at the bottom of the road, go right down Yorkshire Street, which becomes Harry Potts Way and the ground is on your left hand side.

From Burnley Central, follow signs for the Town Centre and then head left towards the Gala Bingo Hall. From here, walk down Yorkshire Street and use instructions from above.

Travelling by train is only recommended for those situated in the North as the first train from Cov is due to arrive in Burnley five minutes before kick off.
Bus Routes: The Bus Station is situated relatively close to the ground, just off Centenary Way. Leave the station and turn right towards the Gala Bingo Hall and go under the aqueduct onto Yorkshire Street. Then, follow the instructions from above.
