It’s the FA Cup this week and for Micky Adams it’s a trip to one of his former clubs Brighton and Hove Albion.

City who expect to pick up only around £40,000 for this third round tie, know that they need to be in the bag for the next round either with a draw or as winners of this game.

Micky Adams will be without Isaac Osbourne who has a knee ligament rupture. Clayton Ince may feature in goal if Spurs don’t want Marton Fulop cup-tied, but Don Hutchison is available after signing for another week.

The Seagulls will be without Skipper Charlie Oatway who is out for the season with a broken foot and Striker Leon Knight who has joined Swansea City.

This is the 54th meeting between the two clubs with City having won on thirteen occasions with nineteen draws. The sides have met in the FA Cup. Brighton won 5-1 in November 1953, On Feb 4th 1911, City drew 0-0 at Brighton and won the replay five days later 2-0.

City have not lost at the Withdean Stadium. Mind you, they have not won either.
