Heritage Open Days proved a Skanking success at the Coventry Music Museum, the museum that famously celebrates Coventry's chequered  2-Tone past, with bands like The Specials and The Selecter.

The museum waivered its small entrance fee, and welcomed guests from all over the UK as well as visitors from America, New Zealand, Latvia, Philippines, Ireland and Romania.

Dressing up as a rude boy or girl (that's donning shades and a pork pie hat), proved popular, as well as being pop stars in the studio room, where guitars and other instruments are available to try out.

Museum Director Suky Singh said, "We love the Heritage Open Days, and the interest it brings, despite there being no charge people are so generous with donations. We all dressed up in our 2-tone black and white, but today a very colourful event. We love being on the Heritage Open day bus route, it's yet another example of superb organisation by the Coventry heritage events team".

Over the weekend the Museum discovered they had received their 500th Trip Advisor review, with an amazing 459 of them being top scores of "Excellent".
