All will be in attendance on the day.

Trevor Evans (Plaque sponsor Bernie Holden)

A total constant and support in the Specials development, from DJ to roadie to musician, Trevor does it all with his trademark smile and laid-back charm. Trevor ‘ET’ Rocker was famed as a DJ with TheJah Baddis Sound system with Nev Staple long before the 2-Tone days. He has been a member of 21 Guns, touring around the Worldas the official Specials tour DJ and even appeared on American TV with The Specials. No wonder then that Jerry Dammers recently thanked Trev above anyone for his crucial role in the development of the Specials.

Frank Ifield (Plaque sponsor Bill Grant)

You remember Frank for I remember You. Frank calls himself a Coventry Born Australian, born in Coundon Coventry and moving to Australia at a young age and became famed for his unique yodelling vocal style. He looks likely to remain Coventry’s first and most successful recording star ever, having scored 4 number one hit singles, a number one EP and a number 5 in the USA.He was also the first person to reach number one three times in the UK in succession. He appeared at his native Coventry Theatre on many occasions. He was and remains a true musical and indeed Coventry legend.

Taz Singh (Plaque sponsor Wyken Building Supplies)

Call him Taz, Johnny Zee or Stereo Nation, it matters not, the fact is he has taken Asian Rhythm’s and combined them with Western sounds, and in doing so has created a whole genre of stimulating hybrid music. Taz’s influence as a musician is huge, not only in Europe but also in the sub-Asian Continent with 17 of his albums going multi-Platinum.In 2005, he won "Best International Artist" at the UK Asian Music Awards, and in 2007 he appeared in and wrote the music for the film “Don’t Stop Dreaming”.

Neville Staple (plaque sponsor Suky Singh)

The Original Rude Boy, Neville Knows don’t argue. One of the hardest working individuals in the business, from Special roadie to ‘toaster’ to vocalist, Nev always does it his way. His superb biography The Original Rude Boy gave a dramatically revealing account of one of Britain’s most successful black musicians. Apart from being a former Fun Boy Three and hugely successful solo artist he is also responsible in helping the career of many other artists including that of Taz Singh and he has earned the title of The Godfather to the third wave of ska in the States, Nev Staples is a true legend on so many levels.
