Warwickshire In A Good Position

Warwickshire County Cricket are in a good position going in to the third day of their County Championship game with Somerset. 

Warwicks resumed on 111-3 but after adding fourteen runs to the total, they lost opener Varun Chopra for 43 who was caught by Hildreth.

Darren Maddy who had been at the crease with Chopra was trapped by Philander for 42.

Tim Ambrose added ten and Rikki Clarke 27 as Warwicks moved on to 192-7.

Warwicks were 219-9 at lunch with Neil Carter and Jeetan Patel both having gone cheaply whilst at the other end Keith Barker hit 46 before he was the last man out when he was bowled by Kirby. 

Warwicks being all out for 243 meant they had a lead of 96.

Somerset had Marcus Trescothick out for ten, trapped lbw by Barker but rallied to move the score on to 104 before Neil Carter ran out Suppiah.

Hildreth was bowled by Carter for three and Patel bowled Kieswetter for eight but Nick Compton was there at the end to steer Somerset to 127-4, some 31 runs ahead.
