The big match in the Premier saw leaders Bedworth at Four Oaks Saint who had in the previous season come close to winning the WCL. Bedworth arrived top and left top having made 181 for 9, Jason Jakeman with 71 the pick of their batting whilst Carleon Broome form 13 overs took 4 for 55, the Away sides score respectable but not a definite win. Carlose Prowse and George Westlake gave Four Oakes Saint a good start, but the Bedworth captain rotated his bolwers until finding a combination of Lews Peacock and Jason Jakeman who in tandem took 7 of the wickets to fall to the ball, Sam smart the other 2, and an important run out of Tom Wright stalled the cahse just as he seemed top be getting goig. A comfortable 58 run win for the leaders. Aston /manor kept the pressured on 2nd, with 6 wicket win at Nuneaton.
Division 1 sees 2 teams with 4 wins from 4 as Southam and Solihull Municipal both won on Saturday. Solihull beat Studley whilst Southam chased down 193 to win with a 6 in the 49th over of their match at Coleshill coming home by 3 wickets.
Divisions 2 and 3 are very close affairs with clubs taking points from each other and no real pattern emerging. In Division 2, with Knowle Village defeating Aston whilst Lyndworth beat Pickwick the top 4 are now covered by 10 points. In Division 3 Dunlop top after 2 impressive wins stumbled when Charles Wale (74) helped Hunningham recover from 18 for 4 to 183 for 8, Hunnigham going on to win by 99 runs, opening the door for Leamington Khalsa who with a win at Aston Unity, go top.
