Vallee Takes Tour De Wallonie Stage Two

Boris Vallee of Fortuneo Vital Concept earned his first professional win when he took the victory on the second stage of the Tour de Wallonie.

Tom Boonen was in the leaders jersey after his victory on the opening stage and on a 182.7km stage from Saint-Ghislain to Le Roeulx, Bonnamour, Dron, Robeet, Stash and Warnier were in the break.

They had a lead of 6.15 but were caught near the end and the sprint was on.

Arnaud Demare of FDJ suffered a mechanical in the final kilometre and Vallee was able to take the win with Boonen retaining his leader's jersey.
