Steve Cummings Wins Tirreno-Adriatico Stage Four

British rider Steve Cummings has won stage four of the Tirreno Adriatico in Italy.

Stage four was the longest stage of the race at 216km and from Montalto di Castro to Foligno and saw The four out front are Ricardo Vilela (Caja Rural), Valerio Conti (Lampre-Merida), Cesare Benedetti (Bora-Argon 18) and Francesco Bongiorno (Bardiani CSF)

Conti took the second sprint with 108kms left and had to get away on his own before being caught with 31 kilometres left.

Race leader Zdenek Stybar got into a front group which was led out by Diego Ulissi who took the KOM Points with 15kms left.

Visconti and Montagu made a move but Wirral hailing Steve Cummings of Dimension Data checked the move and with 3.5kms to go, Cummings having dealt with the likes of Peter Sagan, made his move which was successful and he took the win  ahead of Salvatore Puccio of Team Sky,
Natnael Berhane of Dimension Data, Daniel Moreno of Movistar Team, and Jan Bakelants of AG2R La Mondiale
