Good Day For Warwickshire

Warwickshire County Cricket Club had a good day on the first day of their County Championship game against Middlesex at Edgbaston.

Middlesex batted first and made 34 before losing Robson who was caught by Laurie Evans to give Chris Wright a wicket.

Wright went on to take two more wickets with Keith Barker, Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Richard Jones to see the Londoners at 66-8.

Rayner and Roland-Jones put on forty for ninth wicket before England international Steven Finn came in and made an unbeaten 37. However, when Jeetan Patal had Rayner caught, Middlesex were all out for 167.

Warwicks lost Chopra for 12, Evans for four and Westwood for nineteen then Sam Hein for 42 as they closed on 123-4.
