Cavendish Wins Tour Of Croatia Stage Two

Mark Cavendish of Dimension Data took the victory on the second stage of the Tour Of Croatia.

Giacomo Nizzolo of Trek Segefredo led the race going into a second stage from Plitvička Jezera to Split.

Josh Hunt was in a six man break which was 3.20 clear of the peloton but they were pulled back and after a crash, the sprint was on.

Mark Cavendish was beaten by Giacomo Nizzolo in the first stage but today, Cavendish was not going to take another second place and took the win in 5.32.56 ahead of Nizzolo and Mark Renshaw.

The win means that Cavendish leads the race.
