Bradley Wiggins won the Tour Of Romandy in Switzerland this afternoon.

The final stage was a 16.5km individual time trial around Crans Montana where Coventry City trained during their pre-season tour of Switzerland in 2009, and saw Team Sky's Richie Porte set the early time of 29.13.

Bradley Wiggins who was a second off leader Luis Leon Sanchez, went down the ramp, followed by Sanchez.

He was forced to change his bike when his chain came off whilst further up the road, Andrew Talansky came home in 28.57.

Wiggins was fastest at the intermediate check whilst Sanchez was 55 seconds back.

He shot through the up hill finish to go over in  time of 28.56.60. Wiggins was exhausted and was sat on the ground as Sanchez finished some a minute and twenty three seconds to give Wiggins the win today and overall.

Wiggins win by twelve seconds meant that Team Sky had two out of the top five riders in the General Classification.

Really nice to finish it off in the time trial, " said Wiggins to Eurosport after the race. "Without my team mates I would not have been in this position. "I was pleased with the way I handled the bike change. "My wins are payment for the hard work I have put in and hopefully there is more to come."
