Tour Of Britain Starts This Weekend

The Tour Of Britain starts this weekend in Rochdale on Saturday.

Bradley Wiggins, Steve Cummings (pictured below) and British Champion Geraint Thomas along with riders from HTC Colombia, Saxo Bank, Garmin, Cervelo and twelve other teams are expected to take part.



Stage one tomorrow is from Rochdale to Blackpool, whilst stage two on Sunday is a 100 miles stage round Stoke On Trent.

On Monday, it's off to Wales for the stage from Newtown to Swansea. The riders will tackle one of the steepest roads in the country - Constitution Hill in the race for the finish line.

Tuesday is from Minehead to Teignmouth with Wednesday seeing a stage from Tavistock to Glastonbury. Thursday, the action moves to the East of England with a stage from Kings Lynn to Great Yarmouth before Friday's penultimate stage is from Bury St Edmunds to Colchester. On Saturday, the race ends in Newham, London with a stage around the capital.
