Swift Takes Stage Two In Poland

Team Sky's Ben Swift won the second stage of the 69th UCI Skandia Tour Of Poland today.

Three riders in Poland's Damian Walczak, Adrian Kurek and Diego Caccia were 2.16 clear with 50kns to go of a 239.4km stage from Walbrzych to Opole.

The stage ended with three six kilometres long laps around Opole and Caccia was the first rider into the finish town.

There were good crowds on a sunny evening all the way around the circuit and they saw Caccia stretch out a 52nd lead over the two Poles and 1.42 back to the peloton. 

Caccia was caught on the final lap and Ian Stannard and Matt Hayman brought up Ben Swift who won in a time of 5.50.03 ahead of Viviani, Boonen and Degenklob. 

Garmin's Fabian Wegmann leads the General Classification.

Tomorrow third stage is from Kedzierzyn to Cieszyn and is 201.7km long.
