Zedenek Stybar won the third stage of the 69th UCI Skandia Tour Of Poland this evening.

Stage three was 201.7kms long from Kedzierzyn to Cieszyn, where there were three 6.3km circuits to be completed by a strong field.

The peloton was altogether on the first lap of a circuit which included a hill with a gradient of 13% and cobbles to test the riders, many of whom were using this race as a preparation for the Mens Road Race in the fortcoming Olympic Games.

Three riders attacked and built up a 40 second lead. Team Sky with Ian Stannard wearing his British Champions jersey closed down the gap to what was now a five man break, to twenty seconds with one lap to go.

Marek Rutkiewicz was out front on his own so Team Sky's Sergio Henao went after him and caught him with 3kms to go.

Inside the final kilometre, the peloton was bearing down with yellow jersey wearing Moser on the front. The front two were caught just before the line and it was Stybar who, was adjudged to have snatched a win in a time of 5.01.37.

Tomorrow's stage is from Bedzin to Katowice and is 127.8km long.
