Roche Take Beijing Third Stage

Ireland and AG2R rider Nicholas Roche took the third stage of the Tour Of Beijing this morning.

Roche (pictured above) attacked on the final climb of the day on the 162km stage from Men Tou Gou to Yong Ning Town, and the Irishman along with fellow countryman Philip Deignan (RadioShack) and Chris Froome (Team Sky) were able to stay away for the remaining fifteen kilometres and take the stage and Roche's first ever UCI World Tour victory.

David Millar finished 31st, Steve Cummings 38th, Alex Dowsett 81st and  Jeremy Hunt last in 143rd place.

Tony Martin keeps his leaders red jersey, seventeen seconds ahead of David Millar.

Chris Froome leads the points jersey from Nicholas Roche.
