Mark Renshaw took the fourth stage and the leaders Gold Jersey in the Tour Of Qatar.

Stage Four was from West Bay Lagoon to Al Kharaitiyat on the 153.5km long stage, there was a nineteen man break off the front.

With 25km, the peleton, which included Mark Renshaw and Daniel Bennati who are high in in the race for the leaders jersey doing plenty of work, to get the front group back.

The lead was down to fifteen seconds on another long straight road on a windy day, which has been a feature of these 10th Tour Of Qatar.

Rabbobank's Martin Tjallinghi went for home with ten kilometres to go. Being six minutes and ten seconds down on the time of general classification leader Heinrich Haussler, he was allowed to get twenty seconds clear.

Jeremy Hunt, along with Bradley Wiggins and Stannard, took control of the peleton and with five kilometres to go, Team Sky were leading the race.

With 3km left, Bradley Wiggins went with Lars Boom in pursuit. They were caught with 1.7km left by Bernie Eisel from HTC Highroad who brought with him a group including Haussler and Tom Boonen.

They got to the line and in a fast finish, it was HTC High Road's Mark Renshaw who was first over the line and now takes the race leaders Gold Jersey.

Renshaw told the HTC Press office after the race: It was pretty tough going in the first half because there was a dangerous breakaway, the wind made it difficult again today, and I had no idea if we were going to catch them," Renshaw said.

"This win is a huge boost to my morale, ever since I got married [this winter] I've been training really hard, so this win is dedicated to my wife who's had to put up with all of that and who's been very forgiving!"

"I want to thank the team for having confidence in me. I don't get the opportunity very often to race for myself, which is normal when you're racing for the fastest sprinter in the world [Mark Cavendish] so I'm just delighted I could make the most of this opportunity and I'm sure Mark is happy I've got this result."

The race ends tomorrow with the final 126.5km stage from Sealine Beach Resort to Doha Corniche.
