Renshaw Wins Tour Of Turkey Fourth Stage

Mark Renshaw won the fourth stage of the Tour Of Turkey this afternoon.

More gorgeous weather greeted the riders for this 132km stage from Fethiye to Marmaris.

Eleven riders broke early but yesterday's winner Ivali Gabrovski pictured below ) brought them back.

Four riders in Astana's Assan Bazayev, Katusha's Vladimir Gusev and Mikhail Ignatyev and Farnese Vini's Diego Caccia then broke away. 

They were close to three minutes ahead with thirty kilometres to go. However,  Gabrovski worked again and the peloton had caught them some fifteen kilometres later.

The finish into Marmaris was a fast one. Lotto's Adam Hensen on ANZAC Day, took the final climb of the day.

Some high speed racing took place on the descent before the bunch sprint.

it was any body's race with 500m to go and Rabbobank's Mark Renshaw sprinted home ahead of Matt Goss to take the victory in a time of 3:14.02.

Colli was third with Van Poppel fourth.

Gabrovski keeps his leaders turquoise jersey, a minute and 33 seconds ahead of Dyachenko.

Renshaw said to Matt Rendall on behalf of Eurosport: "I did not know I had won until I was told. I threw my bike before his and I think it made the difference. It was a short stage and quite exciting."
