BMC's Thor Hushovd won the third stage of the Tour Of Poland.

Back on Polish soil after its start in Italy, the third stage of the Tour Of Poland started in Krakow with a 226km stage to Rzeszów.

Matysiak, Dyachenko, Mestre and Selvaggi were the early escapers taking a 1.50 lead after 20kms.

Their lead went out to eight minutes after 100kms but they were closed down to 2.30 as they went into the first of three, six kilometre laps around Rzeszów.

Bradley Wiggins had worked well and brought the peloton to within a minute at the start of the second lap.

The quartet continued to lead with no-one wanting to do any work, unlike the peloton who had their heads down and were going for a victory.

Astana's Dyachenko went off the front with three to go. He was soon joined by the other three who had a five second lead.

They were caught before the peloton went under the flam rouge and over the bridge and into town. The sprint was on with BMC on the front.

Mark Renshaw attacked but it was Thor Hushovd, who had been assisted by some great work by Tyler Phinney, who took the win in 5.10.02 ahead of Steele Van Hoff and Mark Renshaw.
