Andre Greipel won the second stage of the Eneco Tour of the Benelux Countries this afternoon.

The second stage was 192km long and was from Oosterhout to Sint Willebrord, taking in the towns of Roosendal and Cham.

On narrow roads, there was plenty of crashes with Movistar's Francisco Perez suffering a head injury after going down with three Astana riders.

The peleton were chasing down four escapees who included Thomas De Gendt and this led to more crashes. One came with 40kms to go when Sebastian Minard of AG2R and Daniel Sesma of Euskatel went down.

Both continued down the road and with 28kms to go, Astana's Australian rider Alan Davies crashed.

Rabobank took up the pace-setting as we headed into St Willebrord, then Team Sky with Geraint Thomas got to the front. There was another big crash with two kms to go, leaving a group of twenty riders to battle it out.

It was German Andre Greipel who took the win
